Short answer. Mochi has two renewing charges: a monthly membership fee and a medication subscription. Each is cancelled separately, through the account or by phone; Mochi's terms state that emailing hello@joinmochi.com is not an acceptable way to cancel. Medication fees are non-refundable once an order is sent to a pharmacy, and refunds for partially used membership months are at Mochi's discretion and capped at one month's fee.

Mochi Health's pricing is two numbers: a $79 monthly membership and the medication on top of it, which for compounded tirzepatide works out to about $169 a month. Because there are two charges, there are two subscriptions to understand, and two things to cancel if you leave. Mochi's terms spell both out; this article puts the sentences side by side.

Disclosure first: I founded SkinnyVIP, a compounded tirzepatide program with different terms, and I compare them at the end. Everything attributed to Mochi Health below is quoted from its own published policy pages on October 18, 2026, with links, and the quotes are chosen to answer the questions patients actually ask: when is money refundable, what renews, and how do you stop it. Nothing here is a judgment of Mochi Health's clinical care, which I have no way to assess.

Two subscriptions, two renewals

“IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS SUBJECT TO THE MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FEE AND/OR A MEDICATION SUBSCRIPTION, YOU AUTHORIZE US TO CHARGE YOUR DESIGNATED PAYMENT METHOD THE MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FEE AND/OR THE APPLICABLE MEDICATION FEE AT THE TIME OF INITIAL PAYMENT AND EACH AUTOMATIC MONTHLY RENEWAL (UNLESS YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO PREPAY THE MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FEE), UNTIL YOU CANCEL YOUR RESPECTIVE SUBSCRIPTION(S).” — Mochi Health, Terms & Conditions
“If you subscribe to a Medication Subscription, your Medication Subscription will continue and your payment method will be charged until you cancel the Medication Subscription or the Medication Subscription is otherwise cancelled by Mochi, the Pharmacy, or by a Mochi Provider.” — Mochi Health, Terms & Conditions

The capital letters are Mochi's. The structure is ordinary for membership platforms, and the consequence is simple: cancelling the membership does not by itself stop the medication subscription, and vice versa. The terms put it this way: “YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR RESPECTIVE SUBSCRIPTION(S) BEFORE IT RENEWS TO AVOID BEING CHARGED.”

How to cancel, and the method that doesn't count

“You can cancel your or your Family Member's Paid Membership at any time by logging into your or your Family Member's Mochi account and selecting 'cancel subscription' or by contacting us at (619) 648-1247 and requesting to cancel you or your Family Member's Paid Membership over the phone.” — Mochi Health, Terms & Conditions
“Contacting us at hello@joinmochi.com is NOT an acceptable way to request to cancel you or your Family Member's Paid Membership or any Medication Subscription.” — Mochi Health, Terms & Conditions
“You may cancel or request a modification to your Medication Subscription at any time prior to a refill request being sent to a pharmacy for fulfillment, by selecting 'Modify' from the medication page on the Site.” — Mochi Health, Terms & Conditions

So: membership is cancelled in the account or by phone; the medication subscription is changed from the medication page before the next refill request goes to the pharmacy; and an email to the general address does not count for either. If you are leaving, do both in the account and screenshot each confirmation.

Refunds

“Medication Fees charged by Mochi on behalf of a Pharmacy for a Medication are not eligible for a refund, whether in part or in whole, once the order has been sent to a Pharmacy for dispensing.” — Mochi Health, Terms & Conditions
“We do not offer refunds for partially used subscription periods, although we may provide refunds on a case-by-case basis in our sole and absolute discretion.” — Mochi Health, Terms & Conditions
“Any refund amounts offered by Mochi in its sole and absolute discretion, will not exceed the total fee amount paid by you in the month preceding the refund request.” — Mochi Health, Terms & Conditions
“You will not be eligible for a discretionary refund of a Monthly Subscription Fee for any month during which you received services from a Mochi Provider.” — Mochi Health, Terms & Conditions

The separate refund page is shorter: “all prescription sales are final,” with an invitation to contact Mochi if you believe a prescription was filled in error (Mochi Health, Refund Policy). Taken together: medication becomes non-refundable when the order is sent to the pharmacy, membership refunds are discretionary and capped at one month, and any month in which you saw a Mochi provider is excluded.

What the membership buys

To be fair to the model, the $79 covers the clinician visits, the app and support, and the medication is priced separately; Whether a membership-plus-medication structure suits you depends on how long you expect to stay and how much you use the platform. The point of this article is only that both charges renew, each needs its own cancellation, and the refund rules are the ones quoted above.

Before you switch any program: four things to confirm

  1. Where the refund cutoff sits. "Routed to the pharmacy," "dispensed," and "shipped" are three different moments, sometimes days apart. Know which one your program uses.
  2. Whether the next charge is already scheduled. If a plan renews, find the renewal date and the cancellation deadline in writing before you do anything else.
  3. What a cancellation actually costs. A notice period, a re-rating of discounted months, or a non-refundable consultation fee can all apply. Read the sentence that says so.
  4. What continuity looks like. Ask any new program how quickly a licensed clinician reviews your intake and when the first shipment arrives, so there is no gap in doses.

Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my Mochi Health membership?

Per Mochi's terms, by logging into your Mochi account and selecting 'cancel subscription,' or by calling (619) 648-1247. The terms state that contacting hello@joinmochi.com is not an acceptable way to cancel a membership or a medication subscription.

Does cancelling Mochi's membership also cancel the medication?

Not automatically. Mochi's terms describe the membership fee and the medication subscription as separate subscriptions, each charged until you cancel it. The medication subscription is cancelled or modified from the medication page before the next refill request is sent to a pharmacy.

Can I get a refund from Mochi Health?

Medication fees are not refundable once the order has been sent to a pharmacy for dispensing. Refunds for partially used membership periods are at Mochi's sole discretion, cannot exceed the fee paid in the month before the request, and are not available for any month in which you received services from a Mochi provider.

How much is Mochi Health's membership?

Mochi lists a $79 monthly membership. Compounded tirzepatide is priced separately, which for most patients puts the total around $169 a month.

A program where nothing renews.

$695 for a 3-month plan (any dose, about $232 a month) or $350 for a single month. Refundable until the pharmacy dispenses. Full refund of the medication cost if a licensed clinician does not prescribe. A real person answers within one hour, 7 days a week, 9am to 9pm ET.
