Short answer. Ro’s pricing page says the Ro Body membership is “$39 to start and as low as $74/mo ongoing on an annual prepaid plan,” and “If you stay on a monthly plan, the ongoing cost is $149/month.” “The cost of medication is not included in the Ro Body membership fee.” Ro sells brand-name GLP-1s rather than compounded tirzepatide; its Zepbound KwikPen prices run from $299 to $449 a month by dose. The terms say the membership is charged “on an automatic, recurring, basis unless and until you cancel,” that you “must cancel at least 48 hours in advance of your next renewal date,” and that “Once paid, your Ro Body Membership Fee is non-refundable.” If medication is never prescribed, “you will be refunded your purchase price.” Prescription sales are final once shipped.

Ro is one of the two biggest names in online weight care, and unlike most programs in this series it does not sell compounded tirzepatide; its Body program wraps a membership fee around brand-name medication at cash prices. The membership is where the renewal and refund rules live, and those rules are the part worth reading before the $39 start. This article puts those sentences next to the marketing.

Disclosure first: I founded SkinnyVIP, a compounded tirzepatide program with different terms, and I compare them at the end. Everything attributed to Ro below is quoted from its own published pages on October 19, 2026, with links, and the quotes are chosen to answer the questions patients actually ask: when is money refundable, what renews, and how do you stop it. Nothing here is a judgment of Ro's clinical care, which I have no way to assess.

What the pricing page says

“$39 to start and as low as $74/mo ongoing on an annual prepaid plan. Unlocks access to GLP-1s, licensed providers, and ongoing care.” — Ro, weight-loss pricing page, read October 19, 2026
“The Ro Body membership costs $39 for the first month and as low as $74/month when you prepay for an annual plan. If you stay on a monthly plan, the ongoing cost is $149/month.” — Ro, weight-loss pricing page
“Please note that the cost of GLP-1 medication is not included in the membership cost. Medication cost will depend on your treatment and insurance coverage.” — Ro, weight-loss pricing page
“Risk-free start: Your $39 will be refunded if you’re not eligible for GLP-1s. After your first month, you’ll be charged $74-149/mo depending on the plan you choose.” — Ro, weight-loss pricing page
“Cash-pay prices match LillyDirect®, NovoCare®, and TrumpRx” — Ro, weight-loss pricing page
“Treatment usually starts at 2.5 mg and increases each month.” — Ro, weight-loss pricing page (Zepbound KwikPen: $299, $399, $449 by dose)

The $74 figure requires prepaying a year of membership; month to month it is $149. Medication is on top, at brand-name cash prices that rise with dose: the Zepbound KwikPen is listed at $299 at the starting dose and $449 at the higher doses. So a month-to-month patient on a mid-range Zepbound dose is paying the $149 membership plus $399 to $449 for the medication.

What the terms say about renewal

“If medication is prescribed, you will be enrolled in the automatically renewing Ro Body Program Membership (as defined below), and your payment method will be charged on an automatically renewing basis unless you cancel in accordance with these Terms.” — Ro, Terms of Use
“Your payment method on file will be automatically billed for the cost of Membership at the price and frequency displayed at the time of checkout on an automatic, recurring, basis unless and until you cancel.” — Ro, Terms of Use
“Even if you do not request or receive medication through the Ro Body Program, you will still have access to the Ro Body Membership Services described above and you will continue to be charged on an automatically renewing basis unless and until you cancel.” — Ro, Terms of Use
“You can stop future orders from shipping automatically by turning off your auto-refill.” — Ro, cost and pricing FAQ

The membership renews whether or not you order medication, and the terms say so plainly. Medication shipments are a separate auto-refill you can turn off in the account. If you pause the medication but forget the membership, the membership keeps billing.

How to stop, and when it’s too late

“To cancel your Ro Body Program membership, you may log into your Secure User account (click into the Ro Body Program and select “Cancel Subscription” from the Program Details page) or by emailing us at [email protected].” — Ro, Terms of Use
“To avoid further charges to the payment method on file, you must cancel at least 48 hours in advance of your next renewal date.” — Ro, Terms of Use
“If your order is currently processing, please contact us as soon as possible.” — Ro, cost and pricing FAQ
“Once your order is shipped, we cannot return it.” — Ro, cost and pricing FAQ

Forty-eight hours before the renewal date, in the account or by email. For a medication order, the cutoff is shipment. Keep the cancellation confirmation; the terms treat the renewal date, not the day you decided, as the clock.

Refunds

“If medication is never prescribed, you will be refunded your purchase price and you will not be enrolled in the automatically renewing Ro Body Program Membership (described below).” — Ro, Terms of Use
“Once paid, your Ro Body Membership Fee is non-refundable.” — Ro, Terms of Use
“You will automatically be refunded if we have already charged your payment method and you are subsequently deemed unsuitable for treatment or we reject your treatment request for any other reason.” — Ro, Terms of Use
“Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of prescription products for reuse or resale, and all sales are final.” — Ro, cost and pricing FAQ

A clean answer on the no-prescription case: the $39 and any medication charge are refunded if a clinician does not prescribe. After that, the membership fee is non-refundable once paid, including a prepaid annual fee, and medication is final once shipped. If you are considering the $74 annual plan, that is a 12-month commitment with no refund path in the terms we read.

The pharmacy

“Ro may collect payment in connection with your purchase on behalf of the LillyDirect partner pharmacy.” — Ro, Terms of Use

Because Ro’s GLP-1s are brand-name, the medication comes through manufacturer channels such as LillyDirect rather than a compounding pharmacy. That is a different product from compounded tirzepatide, with a different price, and the comparison below reflects that.

Before you switch any program: four things to confirm

  1. Where the refund cutoff sits. "Routed to the pharmacy," "dispensed," and "shipped" are three different moments, sometimes days apart. Know which one your program uses.
  2. Whether the next charge is already scheduled. If a plan renews, find the renewal date and the cancellation deadline in writing before you do anything else.
  3. What a cancellation actually costs. A notice period, a re-rating of discounted months, or a non-refundable consultation fee can all apply. Read the sentence that says so.
  4. What continuity looks like. Ask any new program how quickly a licensed clinician reviews your intake and when the first shipment arrives, so there is no gap in doses.
